Holiday Accommodation Golden Beach- You won’t be disappointed
Golden Beach is a beautiful coastal suburb of Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. The Pumicestone Passage forms the eastern boundary of Caloundra and a canal from the passage passes through the suburb from east to west leading into the canal developments of Pelican Waters. Golden Beach is sheltered by Bribie Island so the surf isn’t as big making it a bit safer for people with younger families or those not keen on big surf. It really is the perfect holiday destination for families that loves waterspouts such as swimming, fishing, diving, boating and windsurfing.

Caloundra Coastal Walk
The Caloundra Coastal walk is a 25km walk that starts from Golden Beach in the south. The birdlife along the coastal walk is beautiful and often dolphins are seen playing around in Pumicestone Passage. There is an historical military jetty used for operations during WWII, as well as the heritage listed Kings Beach Pavilion. The ocean views are just stunning and we can assure you that this walk is something that you will want to do over and over again.
Pumicestone Passage
The Pumicestone Passage is a huge drawcard for this region with 35km of pristine water stretching from the tip of Bribie Island near Caloundra in the North, to Deception Bay in the south.
The passage is part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park and is a narrow, shallow estuary made up of a system of tidal channels and sand banks and is perfect for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, catamarans and jet skis.
The passage is alive with wildlife and sea life such as 24 species of migratory shorebirds and 11 species of the native shorebirds and dugongs, turtles and dolphins. It really is a stunning part of the world and a must see when holidaying in Golden Beach.

Currumundi Lake
Lake Currumundi is a beautiful stretch of calm water which runs into the ocean at Currumundi surf beach, north of Caloundra. There are many walking tracks surrounding the lake. The tracks are well mapped and there is signage along the way explaining all the native flora and fauna and plenty of beautiful places for picnics.
