As a general rule our low or off-season period is the dates in between the Queensland State School holidays, apart from summer rates, long weekends and festivals. Some property owners may vary this with their property, such as having a Winter rate period. Please keep in mind our properties are all individually owned and the owners have the right to alter rates. (Once booked though your rates are set).
All our properties will show what prices are for which season when you put in your dates.
Short stays are available during the off-season, however in the majority of properties bookings of less than 4 nights cannot normally be made more than one month ahead. (Should you notice a gap in bookings we may be able to assist though so please call or email us on info@caloundraholidaycentre.com.au ). Certain properties may have other stipulations on their number of minimum nights. We cannot take bookings more than 12 months ahead under the terms of the Management Agreements with our owners.

NB. Anytime out of these periods is usually considered low season, however some properties may have a Winter rate or a Summer rate, (see notes at the top of this page), plus long weekend (eg. Anzac, May Day), or festival rates, that are outside of these dates. Some properties may have a ‘peak’ rate which is higher around Christmas and New Years.
Schoolies Weeks
Schoolies are welcome from 18/11 – 25/11/2023 (Qld) or 25/11 to 02/12/2023 (NSW), and these weeks are at the Christmas shoulder rate + there is a security deposit to pay of $1000.
School holiday bookings
Apart from Easter, bookings are generally Saturday to Saturday for holiday units, and Friday to Friday for holiday homes . This is also often varied in the April & September school holidays.
Easter bookings 2023 are part of April school holidays & are between 31/03/23 & 17/04/23 (Most properties 4 night minimum until 30 days out); Easter is 6/4/23 to 11/4/23, with higher rates than April weekly rates.
Shorter bookings
In school holiday periods, shorter bookings will generally be made available 30 days prior to the holiday period, subject to availability, though some properties & owners may vary this guideline. Long weekends and Festivals such as the Ryno Insurance Downunder Beachfest and the Caloundra Music Festival will normally have a 3 or 4 nights minimum (and will be at a higher rate than off-peak).
